Wastewater Mechanical Aeration Systems

In aerobic wastewater treatment systems, microorganisms feed on organic materials to stabilize them, and reduce biological oxygen demand and suspended solids in the wastewater.  We can provide you with an aerobic digestion system for your sewerage treatment operation or combine it with one of our wastewater technologies to meet your specifications.

Mechanical Wastewater Aeration System
Orbal® Wastewater System

Aerobic Wastewater Mechanical Aeration Treatment Systems:

Orbal® Multichannel Oxidation System
The Orbal® multichannel oxidation ditch, as a complete mix, looped reactor system, is well-suited for conventional activated sludge, advanced secondary sludge treatment, simultaneous nitrification-denitrification and biological phosphorus removal.
Orbal® Multichannel Oxidation System

Vertical Loop Reactor (VLR)
VLR® Systems utilize a vertical loop based design with looped reactors in series that allows DO stratification. As such, it is suited for simultaneous nitrification/denitrification; biological phosphorus removal.

VertiCel® Process
The VertiCel® process is superior to other aeration technologies because it saves energy and space, while producing an unparalleled effluent quality. It is ideally suited for wastewater treatment plants with process flows above two million gallons per day.
VertiCel® Process

Rotating Biological Contactor (RBC)
The Rotating Biological Contactor (RBC) is one of the most efficient fixed film wastewater treatment technologies and is great for secondary and /or advanced treatment in municipal and industrial applications.

Aqua-Lator® High Speed Surface Aerator
The Aqua-Lator® high speed surface aerator provides effective wastewater treatment in applications such as aerated lagoons, stabilizations basins, SBRs, activated sludge, aerobic digestion and upgrades of existing systems.
Aqua-Lator® High Speed Surface Aerators

Smart BNR Controls
The SmartBNR™ System offers precise control of simultaneous nutrient removal in a single reactor along with other features that are guaranteed to be highly reliable.

Wastewater Mechanical Aeration System Case Study

Envirex Vertical Loop Reactor - Texas City, TX

The Wallace R. Knox Wastewater Treatment Facility, in Texas, experienced solids wash-out during storm flow conditions. As the waste strength increased, too few microorganisms were left in the system to assimilate the waste. This resulted in violations of the NPDES permit. The upgraded system needed to be energy efficient, even while experiencing extreme variable loading conditions.
