Richard Smith was appointed Executive Vice President, Global Sales and Marketing in September, 2006.  Previously, he served as Senior Vice President, Industrial Sales and Marketing from 2002 through 2006.  He joined USFilter in 1999 as Vice President, Industrial Sales. 

Smith has spent his entire professional career in sales and sales management in the water industry. Prior to joining Siemens Water Technologies/USFilter, he was employed by Calgon Corporation in Pittsburgh, PA for 21 years.  At Calgon, he held several positions of increasing responsibility in sales and sales management.

Smith received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Alabama in 1974.  He is located at Siemens Water Technologies corporate headquarters at 181 Thorn Hill Rd., Warrendale, PA 15086.
