Wastewater Treatment - Chemical Recovery
Wastewater chemical recovery is a teatment process which retrieves and recuperates valuable chemicals and other materials in preparation to be reused. The recovery of precious chemicals and other materials is beneficial to the industrial segment using the recovery treatment as well as to the environment.  Siemens provides organizations with chemical recovery options to treat wastewater.

At the same time of recovering chemicals and other materials for reuse, environmental liability decreases because the components are removed from the discharge to the receiving stream.

Siemens offers many systems and services that enable water treatment operations to recover chemicals from wastewaters. These include membranes, ion exchange products and services, chemical feed systems, skid-mounted metals removal systems.

Siemens provides centralized treatment and recovery of chemicals from waste streams. See these capabilities at
Central Waste Treatment and Processing Facilities.

Case Study: Silverback™ Reclaims Spent Alkaline Cleaner at Gates Rubber

An ETV program was conducted on a Silverback® unit at Gates Rubber.  Gates Rubber, in Versailles, Missouri, uses alkaline cleaning solutions at different times during manufacturing to remove oils, coolants and other metalworking fluids prior to electroplating.  The verification test evaluated the ability of the Silverback® unit to remove oils and recover the alkaline cleaning chemistry.
