Biopharm Company Upgrades 2-pass Reverse Osmosis System to Improve Quality of USP Purified Water

A veterinary pharmaceutical firm in the Midwest upgraded a USP Purified Water system that was not consistently producing water of adequate quality – both conductivity and microbial. The customer did not want to use chemicals to regenerate ion exchange beds and is located far from any service deionization facilities.

A new hot water sanitizable continuous deionization (CDI®) system was installed downstream of an existing two pass reverse osmosis unit.
