Metering Pumps in the Water Treatment Industry

Clean drinking water is one of mankind’s most basic needs. Siemens Water Technologies helps to meet this need with its metering pumps used to dispense accurate chemical dosages in water treatment and wastewater systems.

Metering, or dosing, pumps are positive displacement diaphragm pumps typically used to introduce chemicals into the treatment process accurately. These pumps are integrated with manual or automatic controls and hydraulic accessories to meet specific performance requirements concerning steady state accuracy, repeatability and linearity. Yet metering pumps are flexible enough to vary the amount and rate of chemical feed according to process conditions.  Capable of pumping a wide range of chemicals including acids, bases, and corrosive or viscous liquids, the pumps are also ideal when elevated fluid temperatures exist.
