Centrifuge

The Centramax™ centrifuge provides the most cost-effective, high performance solution to continuous dewatering or thickening.

The Centramax™ centrifuge employs the latest in control design technology to simplify system operation and provide total process control.  It is the result of a combined effort between operators and engineers to provide the most user-friendly, cost-effective, high performance centrifuge available today.

Total Process Control + Precision Engineering and Manufacturing =

Higher Cake Solids
Higher Capture
Lower Energy Consumption
Lower Polymer Consumption

Features and Benefits

Features

  • Centrifugally cast 316 or duplex stainless steel bowl.
  • 316 stainless steel scroll conveyor.
  • Stainless steel cover and lower housing.
  • Sintered tungsten carbide protection system at critical wear points.
  • VFD control system for main drive motor.
  • Independent scroll and bowl drives.
  • Precision balancing to highest industry standards.
  • Long bowl design with high length to diameter ratio.
  • High G force design of 3000 G’s or more.
  • Torque-based scroll drive control system.

Benefits

  • Critical wetted parts constructed of stainless steel eliminate corrosion and ensure long life.
  • Sintered tungsten carbide at critical wear points such as feed ports, conveyor surfaces, and discharge ports minimizes maintenance and extends rebuild intervals.
  • The option of using either hydraulic or electric scroll drive system allows the Centramax centrifuge to be customized to the needs of the application.
  • Use of a VFD on the main drive motor ensures smooth startups and saves money during operation by reducing power consumption.
  • Independent drive systems allow the scroll to be operated with the bowl stopped to ensure complete cleanout of the bowl before operation and at shutdown.
  • Precision balancing minimizes noise and vibration to extremely low levels.
  • The long bowl design with high length to diameter ratio provides more separation time in the centrifuge, improving performance and throughput rates.
  • The high G force design provides maximum separation force for maximum performance and higher throughput rates.
  • The torque-based scroll drive control system provides automatic, accurate scroll speed adjustment for maximum cake solids.
