The Envirex DuoTherm® process provides municipalities the convenience of Class A biosolids and increased digester capacity, with the least possible capital and operational costs.
The DuoTherm® process begins with a fully automated preconditioning stage where waste solids are disinfected and conditioned at 150 degrees. Here pathogens are reduced to below threshold levels and some solids are solubilized. As the first stage continues the process of converting waste solids in Class A biosolids. Stage two accomplishes vector attraction reduction through solids stabilization in an existing or new conventional anaerobic digester. This DuoTherm process improves overall anaerobic digestion performance because the solids have been preconditioned.
