Wastewater Ion Exchange provides specially selected resins to remove soluble heavy metals from various manufacturing processes, cooling systems and contaminated groundwater. Each resin has a finite capacity for metals removal. Once this capacity is reached, the resins are returned to our RCRA-permitted plant for regeneration and reuse. The by-products of these regeneration processes are further subjected to a high temperature recovery process that captures the metals for reuse. All residuals are captured as individual metals or sold as part of an iron-rich material used in the production of Portland cement. USFilter's service capabilities reduce future liability for our clients and improve the environment for everyone.
