How can you hit a "Bull's Eye" when choosing the right arsenic or radium removal technology?

Tightening regulations on allowable arsenic and radium levels in public water supplies are creating a need in many communities for upgraded treatment to remove these contaminants.  We will help you select the ideal technology from a wide range of options for arsenic or radium removal.  From adsorptive media to coagulation and filtration to membrane technologies, our products will provide reliable, easy to use, robust treatment for your system.

Siemens Water Technologies' Options for Arsenic Removal include:

  • GFH® Adsorption Media - Ideal for supplies that have no other contaminant that need to be removed, such as iron or manganese.

Arsenic Removal with GFH® Media

  • Oxidation/Coagulation/Media Filtration - For supplies that do have iron, manganese or other contaminants present, oxidation/media filtration can be used to address arsenic in addition to the others.  Products applicable for this include:

Induced Draft Aerator for mechanical iron oxidation and gas removal

AERALATER® Packaged Iron and Manganese Removal

Filtration of Small Flows with Vertical Pressure Filters

Filtration of Larger Flows with Horizontal Pressure Filters

Tri-Mite™ Factory Assembled Packaged Water Treatment

Versatile Trident® Modular Adsorption Clarifier Filtration System

Trident® HS Provides Unmatched Multi-Barrier Water Treatment

  • Oxidation/Coagulation/Microfiltration - On Supplies where the well is influenced by surface water sources, microfiltration can prove to be an attractive alternate to media filtration.

 Memcor Products

  • And many others...

Siemens Water Technologies' Options for Radium Removal include:

  • Cation Exchange - Simple and easy to use, Ion Exchange provides softening as well as radium removal.

Ion Exchange

  • HMO Process - When softening is not required or desired, or when elevated radium removal is needed, the HMO (Hydrous Manganous Oxide) process effectively removes radium without altering general water characteristics.  Both vertical and horizontal pressure filters are commonly used for this application.
