Sludge Sucker systems consist of a moving sludge removal header, guide track, drive unit and drive cable.  Existing basins without sludge removal can be retrofit for automatic sludge removal without the need for collector troughs.  A single unit can cover a basin size of 30 ft. wide x 125 ft. long.  Clearance of 4'-0" is needed when passing below collector troughs, plate separators or tube settlers.
