Ultraviolet (UV) sterilization is used as a pretreatment and/or post treatment step to kill or inhibit growth of microorganisms, remove ozone, chlorine and trace organics and reduce total organic carbon (TOC). During UV sterilization, the water is exposed at a controlled rate to ultraviolet light waves. The bacteria absorb the UV radiation energy, which destroys or inactivates their DNA, thus preventing the bacteria from reproducing. UV systems may reduce 99% of bacteria in the water.
Our Ultraviolet Sterilizer units are manufactured from 304 stainless steel and are available in different models designed to emit varying levels of UV energy.

CHI Series, High Purity - The CHI Series of high purity industrial ultraviolet treatment systems utilize low pressure, high intensity UV lamps to destroy microoganisms, eliminate ozone, or reduce total organic carbons (TOC) in high purity water systems for up to 3500 gpm.
ZCS Series -The UV light rays produced by each lamp efficiently pass through the quartz sleeves and into the surrounding liquid flowing through the UV treatment chamber. Stainless baffles are included in the treatment chamber to induce turbulence and prevent channeling, maximizing the exposure to ultraviolet radiation.
ZHX Series -The next generation of UV systems utilize a new low pressure high intensity long-life bulb that greatly increases the capacity per unit. This technology requires up to 4 times less bulbs to accommodate the same flow as original lamp designed systems.
