Permutit and all their well-known products, such as the Package Precipitator, became a part of USFilter, now Siemens, in 1993. Whether it is a Permutit precipitator, a precipitator supplied by one of the Siemens family of companies or a system supplied by any and all water treatment equipment manufacturers, we can assist you. Some of the benefits of adding a new precipitator:
- Low turbidity effluent which is virtually always superior to the effluent from conventional clarifiers/softeners
- More efficient chemical utilization because of the action of the suspended sludge in the mixing zone and upflow through the sludge blanket
- Complete mixing of the water, chemicals and sludge by the large, slow moving agitator blades
- Longer filter runs and lower treatment costs as the low turbidity effluent from the precipitator places little load on downstream filters
