Wallace&Tiernan Varea-Meter® units are available in a wide variety of tube sizes, material of construction and configurations. We offer glass tube type as well as metal tube type. Glass tube meters are available in tube sizes from 3/8" to 2". Metal tube units are available from 1/2" to 2".
Wallace&Tiernan Varea-Meters® units are designed for high volume flows. The advanced design of the float and the tapered tube extends the meter capacity to match that of comparable meters costing much more. The strong steel construction and a wide choice of wetted parts material makes these meters suitable for a broad spectrum of applications. These meters are available with a glass tube or metal tube.
The glass tube version includes a one piece stainless steel frame and beard guide tube with a detached scale for calibration in most engineering units. Tube size are available from 3/8" to 2". Frame sizes can be 5 " or 10". The end fitting materials are brass, carbon steel, PVC, or 316 SS. Float materials are 316 SS or Hastelloy® C.
The straight through metal tube varea-meter includes a tapered 316 ss metal tube with flange connections ( 150 or 300 lb raised faced ), float, and indicator. Flange materials are available in 316 SS or Carbon Steel. The tube size are 1/2" to 2"
For higher flows Metal tube or glass tube by pass vareameters are available. They utilize optional orifice plates and orifice flanges.
