UV Systems for Municipal Wastewater

A variety of system configurations are available to handle a wide range of wastewater applications.  System configurations include vertical open channel systems (Barrier® Sunlight VR and VE), horizontal open channel (Barrier® Sunlight HE), packaged horizontal open channel systems (Barrier® Sunlight HR), and closed-vessel systems (Barrier® SUN and Barrier M).

Closed-vessel systems are used for small and medium sixed plants; they are compact and provide for easy and flexible installation.  They are simple, easy and cost-effective to install as they do not require concrete channels or level control devices.

Barrier Sunlight VR (Vertical lamp configuration designed to install in a open channel with a depth of 30".  Low maintenace, easy lamp replacement with all connections above the waterline.)

Barrier Sunlight VE (Vertical lamp configuration designed to install in a open channel with a depth of 60".  Low maintenance, easy lamp replacement with all connections above the waterline.  Designed to treat unlimited flows.)

Barrier Sunlight HE (Horizontal lamp configuration designed to install in an open channel.  Designed to treat flows greater than 100,000 US gallons/day up to unlimited flows.

Barrier Sunlight HR (A packaged, horizontal lamp configuration system complete with stainless steel channels with built-in level control weirs.  For flows ranging up to 100,000 US gallons/day.)

Barrier SUN (A closed vessel UV system utilizing low pressure high output or amalgam lamps.  Designed to treat flows from 100 to 1250 US gallons/minute.)

Barrier M (An in-line clossed vessel UV system utilizing medium pressure UV lamps.  Treats flows up to 1250 US gallons/minute.)
