Corporate Biographies

Dr. Lukas Loeffler, Chief Executive Officer, SIemens Water Technologies

Dr. Lukas Loeffler was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Siemens Water Technologies on October 1, 2010.  Previously, Dr. Loeffler served as the Vice President of the Siemens Mobility Infrastructure Logistics (I MO IL) business unit, located in Arlington, Texas (USA).

Prior to joining Siemens, Dr. Loeffler served from 1999 to 2005 as General Manager and CTO of the Banknote Processing and Services Division at Giesecke & Devrient GmbH based in Munich/Germany. At G&D, he was responsible for his Division’s global R&D activities and worldwide service business.

From 1994 to 1996, Dr. Loeffler served in various positions with AEG’s Postal Automation business in Konstanz/Germany. From 1997 to 1998, following the acquisition of the Postal Automation business by Siemens, Dr. Loeffler served as Senior Vice President for Global Product Development.

From 1990 to 1993, Dr. Loeffler worked for Daimler-Benz AG in Stuttgart/Germany, where he was involved in the restructuring of the Central Research & Technology organization. 

Dr. Loeffler holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering with a major in Computer Science, and a PhD in Manufacturing Engineering and Automation from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the University of Karlsruhe/Germany.

He is located at the Siemens Water Technologies corporate headquarters in Warrendale, PA.
