History

Stranco Products, founded in 1953, is a worldwide manufacturer and marketer of proprietary chemical feed and monitoring systems and technologies for municipal and industrial water and wastewater applications.

Stranco products have long been a leading provider of polymer activation and feed technologies and disinfection control technologies for municipal and industrial water and wastewater treatment. In 1998, Stranco Products acquired the highly regarded Water Champ, an advanced chemical induction system designed to handle a broad range of gas and liquid chemical feed applications. Submersible, In-Line and Explosion Proof Water Champ systems are available to meet a wide range of applications.

Introduced in 1982, the PolyBlend polymer feeder literally changed the way the world feeds polymer. Since then, PolyBlend technology has been continually improving. Other models include the sophisticated M-Series. The PolyBlend M-LO Series is a highly flexible line of liquid polymer feed systems specifically designed and built for low volume applications. Also, the motorless H-Series is reconfigured to reduce head loss and further simplify service. Most newsworthy, Siemens has been able to reduce the price of some of the most popular PolyBlend units as a result of manufacturing efficiencies gained from the ever-increasing PolyBlend sales volume.

Today, ORP control of disinfection and dechlorination is fully accepted. Thanks to ORP, hundreds of wastewater plants benefit from more tightly controlled disinfection and dechlorination, reduced chemical costs, and far fewer disinfection related headaches.

The Strantrol 890 single-channel system and the newly released Strantrol DOCS raises the standards for chlorination and dechlorination applications. The Strantrol DOCS provides primary ORP chlorination/dechlorination monitoring and control with secondary Residual Management control with integral overrides to ensure compliance. New PC software for the Strantrol systems makes it easier to access the system's built-in datalogger, and provides graphing capability as well as remote control.
