• 1976 – John and Linda VandenBos start JW Industries with two products and a commitment to meet customer needs with quality products and services that exceed customer expectations.
• 1977 – With only three employees operating from a garage, JW Industries incorporates as JWI, Inc.  The focus is on the emerging market for dewatering of inorganic sludges produced by industrial waste water treatment systems.
• 1979 – The company builds its first J-Press filter press, replacing the original solid bowl centrifuge product as its premier dewatering product.
• 1984 – The first J-Mate metal hydroxide dryer is introduced to reduce disposal cost by further reducing the weight and volume of the filter cake discharge from the J-Press filter press.
• 1986 – A continuous throughput version of the J-Mate is developed and introduced to provide enhanced material processing and handling.
• 1991– The J-Press filter press line expands with the production of the "Series 90" J-Press, an overhead plate suspension filter press.
• 1992 – With an increased focus on energy efficiency and cost-effective operation, the first low temperature J-Mate dehydrated air dryer is introduced. The new J-Mate uses less than half the energy of conventional drying systems.
• 1993 – Introduce the Carbolux containment recovery system used by electroplaters for reduction of carbonates in plating baths.
• 1996 – Introduce the revolutionary J-Vap Dewatering/Drying System that combines the dewatering efficiency of a filter press and the drying capabilities of a vacuum to make it possible to dry filter cake to a dryness of over 95% solids in a single piece of equipment.
• 1997 – JWI is purchased by USFilter and becomes USFilter/JWI, joining the world's premier water company, providing water and wastewater systems and services to industrial, commercial and municipal customers.
• 1999 – With the acquisition of William R. Perrin Ontario Ltd., a Canadian-based global purveyor of filter presses, screw presses, belt presses, and gravity belt thickeners, we become USFilter Dewatering Systems.  We also become USFilter's center for dewatering excellence, taking on responsibility for other USFilter dewatering equipment brands such as CPC, Envirex and Edwards & Jones among others.
• 2000 – To add to our growing product portfolio, form a strategic alliance with Hiller GmbH, a leading German centrifuge manufacturer, to exclusively distribute their product to North America.  The state-of-the-art horizontal decanting centrifuge, used for dewatering and thickening, is a great addition to our line of dewatering products.
• 2002 – So that we can provide our customers the unparalleled choice of all three leading dewatering technologies from one company, we enter into an exclusive long-term licensing agreement for the North American markets with Sernagiotto Technologies SpA of Italy, a premier international manufacturer of belt filter presses, gravity belt and rotary drum thickeners.
• 2004 – USFilter is puchased by Siemens Corporation.
