High-Purity Water System Helps Manufacturer Save Money, Simplify Process: Saint-Gobain Containers, the second largest glass container manufacturer in the United States, was using separate and mixed-bed service deionizers to purify the water used in its glass container manufacturing process.  The plant was using 450,000 gallons of high purity water for the bottle coating process, which required a DI tank switchout weekly.  When company personnel heard about a new deionization system that could potentially cut their operating costs they agreed to participate in a pilot study.
