MA Condominium Complex Becomes First-Recognized Perchlorate Cleanup in the State
In July 2005, Siemens Water Technologies was contracted by the Harvard Ridge Condominimum Association located in Boxborough, Massachusetts to provide a treatment solution for their perchlorate contaminated community swimming pool. The 130,000 gallon capacity pool recorded readings of up to 1800 ug/l of perchlorate. Further, adjoining properties were also notified of the presence of perchlorate in their well system.  More

Pool Facility Cuts Chloramines by 75% and Saves Nearly 1 Million Liters of Water per Year
Unpleasant effects of chloramines irritated staff and patrons' eyes, skin and breathing at the Kilmore Leisure Centre in Mitchell Shire, an hour north of Melbourne in the heart of Victoria, Australia. Traditionally, reducing chloramines meant increased backwashing, which required using more freshwater to dilute the disinfectant.  More

Siemens Helps NCAA Diving Champions Breathe Easier
In August 2008, the Strantrol® System5 controllers were upgraded with Siemens’ newest controllers in remote technology for the aquatic market. Three Strantrol Impact Aquatic Management System controllers were installed on the three indoor pools and two spas and one Strantrol Impact Aquatic Management System controller was installed to control the outdoor pool and spa.  More

Siemens UV Disinfection System Helps Big Ten University Improve Air and Water Quality in Natatorium
Built in 1963, the Natatorium has a seating capacity of 1,500 and often hosts meets for the Wisconsin men's and women's swimming and diving teams and WIAA boys and girls swimming and diving meets. Approximately 24,000 swimmers utilize the facility on an annual basis.  More

Simultaneous Control of PPM and ORP with Strantrol® MG/L 5 Controller
Zehnders Splash Valley is a 30,000 sq ft indoor water park with a whirlpool, activity pool, lazy river with plunge, children's pool, and spray pad. The park opened this past summer in Frankenmuth, Mich., home to the world's largest Christmas store. The water park expects pool usage to peak during the holiday shopping season.  More

Strantrol® Impact Dual Controller controls both PPM and ORP for High School Pool
Zionsville Community High School in Zionsville, Ind., installed a controller for each of its two indoor swimming pools. The controllers could not adequately regulate the parts per million (PPM) and oxidation-reduction potential(ORP) levels in the pools, which were thrown off balance by a newly installed UV system and bather loads.  More
