With an ion exchange water treatment system, occasionally an end user experiences performance problems. Often times these problems, from the user's perspective, are short run lengths and poor water quality. When experiencing performance problems, it is often advisable to test the resin in your system. A resin test could verify that resin replacement is necessary, that the resin is irreparably fouled, that the resin is fouled but capable of being cleaned, or that resin replacement is not necessary and other performance related issues are occurring that need to be addressed. This can save a customer significantly from unnecessarily replacing ion exchange resin, and potentially not addressing a performance issue.
