Drying is a common method of reducing the volume and eliminating most of the moisture content of biosolids. Convection or conduction heat drying systems produce a granular or pelletized end product that meets US EPA “Class A” biosolids standards for safe reuse in land application.
At Siemens, our sludge dryers and drying filter presses have demonstrated proven performance in thousands of municipal and industrial applications. Each offers its own merits as a stand-alone product, while creating additional synergy of cost-reduction and dewatering effectiveness when integrated into turnkey systems. Our systems include:
- Convective thermal dryer
- Triple-pass drum dryer
- Single-pass drum dryer
- Counter-rotating chamber dryer
- Thin film dryer
Siemens provides pilot treatment systems and analytical testing to document the efficacy of treatment prior to installation. We also provide parts and service on all of our equipment, as well as equipment which may have been provided by other manufacturers.
