Description

CoMag™ Technology - Superior Solids Separation

Siemens recently acquired Cambridge Water Technologies, and with it their magnetite ballasted treatment technologies BioMag and CoMag.  CoMag Primary and Tertiary Treatment infuses magnetite as a ballasting agent into chemical floc.  The result is rapid settling and enhanced clarification that rivals the particulate removal performance of ultra-filtration at capital and operating costs competitive with conventional treatment.

Memcor® CP Pressurized Membrane System

The Memcor® CP is a pressurized, pre-engineered membrane system with a modular "building block" configuration which simplifies design, operation and reduces installation costs.  Memcor CP systems are available in configurations containing up to 960 L20 ultrafiltration modules in one unit and fit in potable, wastewater reuse, pre-treatment to RO in desalination and industrial applications.  At ACE 2012 Siemens will introduce the 'N' family of Memcor ultrafiltration modules, which represents the latest advancements in membrane technolgoy.  The enhanced PVDF membrane offers increased permeability to further reduce ownership costs associated with membrane systems.

OSEC® B-Pak On-Site Electrolytic Hypochlorite Generation Skid System

With increasing concern over the transport, handling and storage of chlorine gas and purchased hypochlorite, our OSEC B-Pak system provides an economical and reliable solution. These systems produce sodium hypochlorite on-site and on-demand, at a cost that is significantly lower than purchased hypochlorite.  Now available in capacities from 65 to 260 lb/day.

Totally Integrated Water™ Systems

Totally Integrated Water™ systems from Siemens allow for the integration of controls for several pieces of process equipment in a water treatment plant, reducing investment costs, improving operating efficiency, plant operation and maintenance.

Siemens Automation

Siemens Industry Automation supports the entire value chain of the water industry - from the remote pump station and collection system to the main treatment facilities.  With an unmatched combination of automation technology, industrial control technology and industrial software.

Contaminant Removal

Disinfection By-Products (DBP), TOC, pathogens, hexavalent chromium, perchlorate, arsenic -- you name it. Our experience and expertise will allow water treatment plants operate efficiently and safely with cutting edge products and services that remove unwanted contaminants, economically and reliably.

Clearlogx™ Process Optimization System

Clearlogx™ Process Optimization Systems help municipal water treatment plants improve performance and minimize operational issues in difficult-to-control processes.  The Clearlogx system maximizes total organic carbon (TOC) removal, even after implementation of enhanced coagulation, enabling plants to meet the stringent requirements of the Disinfection By-Product Rule.  It also minimizes fouling in membrane plants, improving production capacity and reducing cleaning requirements.

AquaCarb CX Series Carbons

The AquaCarb® CX Series from Siemens is a coconut shell-based activated carbon.  This can be considered a new alternative to coal-based activated carbon for surface water treatment and an improvement upon standard coconut shell-based activated carbons for groundwater treatment.  Studies have shown that the AquaCarb CX Series of carbons exhibit a higher adsorption capacity than coal-based carbon for several applications, with greater throughput before carbon breakthrough. The result is a lower lifecycle cost for the customer, and a lower cost for removing volatile organic compounds (VOC's), complying with Disinfection By-Product (DBP) regulations and managing taste and odor issues.

 Aftermarket Services

Facing aging infrastructure and serious funding gaps, Siemens’ expert service programs assist plant operators in meeting capacity and regulatory requirements while keeping plants running longer. Our factory trained service technicians are ready to assist  quickly and efficiently from over 85 branches located throughout the US and Canada. Our strategically located service branches enable us to reach >85% of the US population within 2 hours. This allows us to schedule on-site visits when and where you need us. And, should unexpected issues or emergencies arise, you can rely on us with 24 hour, 7 days a week customer service just a phone call away.

 Trident® HS Multi-Barrier Water Treatment

The Trident HS packaged treatment system provides multiple barrier protection for surface water, groundwater and industrial process water treatment. The Trident HS system design, which consists of packaged high-rate settling, adsorption clarification, mixed media filtration and UV disinfection, is the latest improvement of the original Trident system.  By also integrating a specialized high-rate pretreatment tube clarifier for removal of gross solids and a downstream UV disinfection system for final effluent treatment, the unique HS design is fully capable of treating flashy waters and sources heavily laden with organics.

 Versatile MULTIBLOCK® Filter Underdrains

Underdrains are fundamental to any filter plant in order to  support the filter media and also collect filtered water. They must also sometimes uniformly distribute backwash water with air to dislodge contaminants and flush them out of the filter cell during backwash, returning the media to a “like new” condition. The MULTIBLOCK® filter underdrain is a high quality, low cost engineered product that is economical and versatile and can be fitted with the unique Laser Shield™ media retaining system that eliminates the need for support gravel.

 Wallace & Tiernan® MFC Analyzer/Controller

The MFC analyzer/controller provides a platform to analyze the measurements that are of key importance to any chlorinated drinking water application. The chlorine measurement ensures that water leaving the treatment facility is within the regulatory concentration requirements set forth for chlorine. Measurement sensors for temperature, pH and ORP allow operators to keep a constant watch on chlorine’s working value and of any resulting process adjustments needed.
