Single Wall Above Ground Chemical Storage Systems:
These systems are perfect for above ground storage, and each system includes a tank made from rotationally molded, high-density cross linked polyethylene (HDXLPE); an overfill protection gauge "U" vent, filler liner, necessary valves, feed pumps, and controls.
Single wall systems are conducive for the following:
- nitrate salts
- hydrochloric acids
- sulfuric acids
- sodium hydroxide
- sodium hypochlorite
- water, and less corrosive chemicals
IT-2 Double Wall Chemical Storage Systems:
These systems provide leak detection and secondary containment for leaks. Also fabricated of HDXLPE, IT-2 systems include leak monitors at critical points, alarms, spill containment and even overfill protection, triggering an alarm when the tank becomes 90 percent full.
These systems are conducive for more volatile chemicals, including:
- mineral acids such as hydrochloric, sulfuric and phosphoric acids
- alkalies such as sodium hydroxide and sodium hypochlorite
- oxidizers such as hydrogen peroxide and sodium chlorite
- inorganic salt solutions such as ferrous sulfate and ferric chloride
Underground Chemical Storage:
These systems are double walled, and constructed of fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP). Its features include an internal and external tank, with 2 inch PVC screened vents to atmosphere and two 32 inch manways. The overall tank is anchored with two FRP anchor straps attached to a concrete slab or deadman for flotation resistance.
Underground chemical storage tanks are suitable for:
- nitrate salts
- ferrous sulfate and ferric chloride
- sodium hydroxide
- sodium hypochlorite
