Induced Draft Aerator for mechanical iron oxidation and gas removal

High efficiency gas removal and oxidizing ferrous iron and manganese is accomplished by providing for each specific application a predetermined number of surfaces or trays against which free falling droplets and thin films of water impinge and fall a short distance to impinge again.

Induced Draft Aerators offer you...

  • Dissolved gas removal and oxidation of ferrous iron
  • A counter-current flow of air supplied by an induced draft type blower
  • Treatment of 65 to 3,600 gpm (14.7 to 795 m3/hr) per unit.

Features and Benefits

Features:

  • Aluminum construction
  • Factory assembled
  • Gravity distribution of water
  • Distribution target nozzles
  • GF induced draft blower
  • Round internal trays supported on a Type 304 stainless steel grid
  • Aluminum and stainless steel blower
  • Wide range of internal tray or media selection

Benefits:

  • Corrosion resistant
  • Light weight reduces installation cost
  • Minimizes installation costs
  • Provides even distribution
  • Reduces long-term pumping costs
  • Eliminates troublesome spray distribution nozzles
  • Minimize clogging
  • Even water distribution
  • Reduced maintenance
  • Corrosion resistant
  • Easy to clean
  • Maintenance free
  • Right internals matched for the application

Induced Draft Aerators are best applied for iron oxidation and dissolved gas removal.  Oxidation and gas removal is accomplished by water cascading over trays or random packed media while air is forced up through the trays or media.  The air continuously sweeps through the aerator oxidizing the ferrous iron and carrying away released gases that may be present.
