Filter cartridge, VA series hydrophobic PTFE Validated Membrane

Siemens Water Technologies offers a variety of filter cartridge replacements to meet specific configurations and filtration needs.  The VA series hydrophobic pleated PTFE membrane is rated at 0.2um absolute for sterile air filtration. The filter has a high surface area and voids volume and is designed to offer exceptional flow rates and extended life service.  Filters are integrity testable by all methods including water intrusion test and are fully validated by aerosol and liquid bacterial challenge.

Note:  FCVA Series is fully retentive to aerosolized Brevundimonas diminuta (ATCC 19146) bacteria when challenged with a total of 2x109 cfu over a 1-hr test at the rated flow of the cartridge.

Note: these filter cartridges should not be used as a combination air vent/water overflow device

• Material of construction conform to USP Class VI Biological Tests for Plastics
• Filters can be autoclaved up to 100 cycles or steam sterilized up to 180 cycles
• Fully validated by aerosol & liquid bacterial challenge

• Conformance to the requirements for the non-fibre releasing filters in accordance with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration Regulations 12CFR211.72 and 210.3(b), (6).
