The Chrome Reduction, CR (fiberglass tank) and CRP (HDPE tank) Systems include one reaction tank that is skid-mounted and completely piped and wired.
Wastewater containing chromium will be pumped or flow by gravity into the tank. Depending on the other contaminants in the wastewater, the pretreated wastes from the chrome reduction tank can flow to the chemical reaction system prior to a microfilter or clarifier system.
The basic reaction system configuration has one tank equipped with one Brawn mixer, two LMI chemical feed pumps, one GLI pH probe, one GLI pH transmitter, one GL ORP probe and one GLI ORP transmitter. On CR/CRP systems less than 1,000 gallon capacity, the mixing units are skid-mounted.
The frame supports the mixer, probes and chemical pumps. The electrical control box, piping manifolds, conduit and wiring harnesses are also attached to this frame. Steps are supplied for operator access to the system.
Chrome reduction systems above 1,000 gallons are designed with a freestanding catwalk frame. The mixing tank is slid into place underneath the catwalk frame.
