The Lancy™ Oil Water Separator is designed to remove oils and solids from wastewater by gravity.
Wastewater containing oil enters the unit through the receiving compartment. Any gross amounts of solids will be allowed to settle out in this area and large oil globules will float to the surface to be removed by the oil weir. The wastewater will then enter the corrugated plate interceptor (CPI) pack. The finer oil rises and migrates to the underside of the next plate above in the CPI pack. The oil droplets continue to rise on the underside of the plates, counter-current to the flow of the wastewater. The oil droplets exit the top of the CPI pack and float to the top of the unit. The free oil is then removed by the oil weir. The oil-free water continues down the CPI pack, up the effluent compartment and out the effluent weir.
