However, with these processes, there is a need to treat returned fluids prior to final discharge overboard. Returned fluids may be containerized and disposed of at an onshore disposal facility, routed through the existing production facility, or processed through our mobile wastewater treatment system. Obviously, the first two options have inherent disadvantages, that include high disposal cost and possible loss of production due to shut-ins.
Certain additives used during the acidizing, workover or stimulation of wells may cause returned fluids to contain stable emulsions that cause upsets in the platform's water treatment equipment. We can eliminate these potential upsets by routing the specific well that is undergoing work to our treatment system.
Our mobile wastewater treatment system employs technologies which combine unique process equipment with high trained personnel. We have incorporated our patented Dissolved Gas Flotation (DGF) technology into our treatment system, resulting in increased longevity of our media. By removing the bulk of the contamination with DGF technology or hydraulically, clients realize substantial savings in reduced media and disposal cost.
The system consists of proprietary coalescing media, chemical treatment, DGF flotation, filtration and adsorption of organic contaminants in the return waste fluids.
