- Chlorine Dioxide is recognized by the EPA as a primary disinfectant.
- It is effective against viruses, bacteria and protozoa, including the cysts of Giardia and the oocysts of Chryptosporidium.
- It does not react with ammonia to form less-active chloramines.
- It will not form trihalomethanes (THM’s) or other chlorinated organic compounds, nor will it react with many impurities that normally consume chlorine.
- It is unstable and must be generated onsite.
Chlorine dioxide has proved economical and effective treating waters high in ammonia or organic nitrogen and in the destruction of phenol based taste and odor causing compounds.. It is essentially not affected by pH, thus is cost effective as a means of treatment when high pH is present.
We offer a broad range of chlorine dioxide generators, specialized chemical feed system and an extensive line of water treatment chemicals.
