Pure Assure® FG utilizes NSF certified activated carbons that have been utilized in potable water applications. These applications provide extensive water washing of the feedstock carbon, which removes a significant percentage of water soluble inorganic contaminants (ash) on the carbon. The removal of these ash constituents allows for a more efficient reactivation process, resulting in a custom reactivated product that exhibits drastically reduced inorganic leaching characteristics, enhanced porosity and improved adsorption kinetics.

Each lot of reactivated carbon is identified by lot number, sampled, and analyzed in accordance with Siemens Water Technologies’ QA/QC program. Siemens’ laboratories are fully equipped to provide complete quality control analysis using ASTM standard test methods in order to assure the consistent quality of all Westates® carbons.
