VoCarb® 48C is a 4 x 8 mesh size, granular shaped activated carbon.  The geometric surface significantly increases surface and pore diffusion rates and thereby increases the effectiveness of this carbon in the adsopriton of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) at short contact intervals.  The granular shape results in excellent gas contacting and still allows the carbon bed to operate at relatively low pressure drops.  VoCarb®  activated carbons have high VOC adsportion capacity and also have a high retentivity that allows these carbons to hold onto and prevent desorption of previously adsorbed organics.
