Aerators and Degasifiers

Siemens Water Technologies has been an innovator in aeration technology since 1935.  Our aeration and degasification products are used for the oxidation of dissolved contaminants such as iron or hydrogen sulfide, or for the removal of volatile gaseous compounds such as MTBE or ammonia.

Forced Draft Aerator

Aeration is an effective, inexpensive and low-maintenance method of improving finished water quality in a large number of applications.  Used for both municipal and industrial applications, these systems efficiently remove unwanted water components and help stabilize the pH of corrosive waters for a large range of flows.

Control of odors from the aerator/degasifier can be accomplished in single or multiple stage wet chemical scrubbers, high capacity activated carbon systems, or high efficiency bio-trickling scrubbers.

Aerators and Degasifiers Case Study

Procuring a Water Treatment Solution Using an Uncommon Method

In 2001, the Slinger Village Board wanted to provide their citizens with better drinking water by installing an iron removal plant to remove the 1.6 parts per million (ppm) of iron in its well water supply.  They had been using a sequestering agent to control the iron, but felt that removal was a better solution, as it would reduce the frequency of flushing the mains and provide rust-free water to residents.
