Natural Draft Aeration Provided by Cascade Aerators

Cascade Aerators are a low cost way of oxidizing iron and increasing dissolved oxygen.

    Cascade Aerator

    Cascade Aerators Provide
    :

    • Natural draft gravity aeration for iron oxidation and increased dissolved oxygen.
    • The capability of adding 5 ppm of oxygen and reducing a small amount of free carbon dioxide.
    • The application for iron removal and wastewater DO boost.
    • Systems designed for 200 to 5,000 gpm per unit.

    Features and Benefits

    Features

    • Aluminum Construction
    • No Moving Parts
    • Open Interior

    Benefits

    • Corrosion resistant
    • Light weight eases installation
    • Economical to operate
    • Maintenance free
    • Eliminates fouling

Cascade aerators are best applied for oxidation of ferrous iron by addition of oxygen followed by detention and filtration.  Ideal for iron concentrations above 10 ppm as the open structure eliminates fouling from iron precipitation.  They also increase dissolved oxygen at the end of wastewater plants.
