ECON Pool

Siemens Water Technologies’ ECON Pool is one module of the EWO (Energy and Water Optimization) pool concept specially developed for swimming pools.

ECON Pool

ECON Pool focuses on saving energy, under the slogan “Clever optimisation, a good investment”. ECON Pool regulates the circulation rate of the pool water according to the current load and – the really unique feature of this system – taking all of the applicable hygiene parameters into account. The DEPOLOX® Pool control unit constantly measures the current free and bonded chlorine, pH value and redox potential. DEPOLOX® Pool is the only system able to regulate the pool circulation economically in compliance with the DIN standards.

The potential for savings depends on the specific operating conditions, which depend on factors including the water treatment process used, the number of bathers using the pool and the water quality. ECON Pool has been demonstrated to achieve energy savings of over 50 % in comparison to other pools.

In order to use ECON Pool in your swimming pool you also need the DEPOLOX® Pool module and the ECON Pool control unit, which includes a frequency converter. This control unit does not affect the operation of any other pool control systems that may already be installed. It includes one frequency converter per circulating pump, an electricity meter and two counters to measure the hours of operation, one for partial load and one for full load. This means you can see the savings you have achieved straight away.
