Chlorine Dioxide Chemicals

Chlorine Dioxide and hydrogen peroxide are the disinfectants of choice for potable water disinfection. We can generate chlorine dioxide onsite with simple chemical precursors and co-reactants.

Chlorine Dioxide Chemicals

Following is a list of chemical families and product names of chemicals that are used in the generation of chlorine dioxide. We can provide the results you need to meet your present treatment protocols.

Disinfectants - Product Detail
AktaKlor 7.5 - AktaKlor 7.5 Solution is a USEPA registered 7.5% active sodium chlorite solution used in conjunction with additional co-reactant chemicals to generate chlorine dioxide. Chlorine dioxide is used in water treatment as an oxidant and a disinfectant. AktaKlor 7.5 solution is registered for use in potable water and wastewater disinfection systems, food plant processing water, CIP systems, industrial cooling tower water applications, oil field injection water and white water paper mill systems. AKTAKLOR 7.5 is registered with NSF under NSF/ANSI 60 and meets requirements for AWWA B303-05.

Technical Solution 18.75 - Technical Solution 18.75 is a USEPA registered 15% active sodium chlorite solution used in conjunction with additional co-reactant chemicals to generate chlorine dioxide. Chlorine dioxide is used in water treatment as an oxidant and a disinfectant. Technical Solution 18.75 is registered for use in potable water and wastewater disinfection systems, food plant processing water, CIP systems, industrial cooling tower water applications, oil field injection water and white water paper mill systems.  Technical Solution 18.75  is registered with NSF under NSF/ANSI 60 and meets requirements for AWWA B303-05.

AktaKlor 25 - AktaKlor 25 solution is a USEPA registered 25% active sodium chlorite solution used in conjunction with additional precursor chemicals to generate chlorine dioxide. Chlorine dioxide is used in water treatment as an oxidant and a disinfectant. AktaKlor 25 solution is registered for use in potable water and wastewater disinfection systems, food plant processing water, CIP systems, industrial cooling tower water applications, oil field injection water and white water paper mill systems. AKTA KLOR 25 is registered with NSF under NSF/ANSI 60 and meets requirements for AWWA B303-05.

Hydrochloric Acid 15% - Hydrochloric Acid 15% solution is specified as a co-reatant for the generation of chlorine dioxide solutions using Wallace & Tiernan's three chemical generating systems utilizing 25% Sodium Chlorite as the chlorine dioxide precusor. All Hydrochloric Acid 15% used as a co-reatant in Wallace & Tiernan's chlorine dioxide generators must meet the minimum specification as described in TI85.271-4UA. Hydrochloric Acid 15% that does not meet these specifications should not be used in Siemens' chlorine dioxide generating systems.

Hydrochloric Acid Solution 5% - Hydrochloric Acid 5% solution is specified as a co-reatant for the generation of chlorine dioxide solutions using Siemens' three chemical generating systems utilizing 25% Sodium Chlorite as the chlorine dioxide precusor. All Hydrochloric Acid 5% used as a co-reatant in Wallace & Tiernan's chlorine dioxide generators must meet the minimum specification.as described in TI85.271-5 UA. Hypochloric Acid 5% that does not meet these specifications should not be used in Siemens' chlorine dioxide generating systems.

Sodium Hypochlorite Solution 12.5% - Sodium Hypochlorite 12.5% solution is specified as a co-reactant for the generation of chlorine dioxide solution using Siemens' three-chemical generating systems, which utilize 25% sodium chlorite as the chlorine dioxide precursor. All Sodium Hypochlorite 12.5% used as  a co-reactant in Siemens' chlorine dioxide generators must meet minmum specification as described in TI85.271-6. Sodium Hypochlorite 12.5% that does not meet these specifications should not be used in Siemens' chlorine dioxide generating systems.

Sodium Hypochlorite Solution 4.5% - Sodium Hypochlorite 4.5% solution is specified as a co-reactant for the generation of chlorine dioxide solution using Siemens' three-chemical generating systems for capacities of less than 140 pounds per day where 7.5% sodium chlorite as the chlorine dioxide precursor. All Sodium Hypochlorite 4.5% used as  a co-reactant in Siemens' chlorine dioxide generators must meet minmum specification as described in TI85.271-7UA. Sodium Hypochlorite 4.5% that does not meet these specifications should not be used in Siemens' chlorine dioxide generating system.

CD-2 (2.8% Sodium Chlorite) - CD-2 is an EPA registered 2.8% active sodium hypochlorite solution. CD2 is equivalent to 2% aqueous stabilized chlorine dioxide when  activated. CD-2 is registered with the EPA for use in food plant processing, cooler water, CIP systems, medical and animal rearing and confinement facilities.

Sulfuric Acid 78% - Sulfuric Acid 78% solution is specified as a co-reactant for the generation of chlorine dioxide soultions using the SVP-PURE Purate / acid generating systems. All Sulfuric Acid 78% used as a co-reactant in Siemens' chlorine dioxide generators must meet the minimum specifications as described in TI85.271-9UA. Sulfuric Acid 78% that does not meet these specifications should not be used in Siemen's chlorine dioxide generating systems.

Sulfuric Acid 93-98% - Sulfuric Acid 93-98% solution is specified as a co-reactant for the generation of chlorine dioxide soultions using the SVP-PURE Purate / acid generating systems. All Sulfuric Acid 93-98% used as a co-reactant in Siemens' chlorine dioxide generators must meet the minimum specifications as described in TI85.271-10UA.
