    Chloropac® System Applications

Power Generation Utility - Steam Power Plant, Combined Cycle Gas Turbine

When seawater or fresh water are used in an engineering process such as a power station, petrochemical works or a refinery, biological fouling is possible.

Biofouling restricts cooling flow at cooling water pump intakes and pipe runs, and it reduces heat transfer across heat exchangers and condensers, thereby reducing the efficiency of these processes. Chloropac® systems from Siemens Water Technologies help keep intake and cooling water systems free of biofouling and help maintain the efficiency of heat transfer.

Chloropac systems are designed and manufactured in fully-assembled, multi-skid packages to make the installation as easy and fast as possible, and to provide more reliable operation. Factory functional testing after skid assembly ensures proper alignment, valve and motor rotation direction; and control system and instrument operation.

Our engineers can advise on equipment location, layout and enclosure protection to reduce building costs, and Chloropac systems can also be supplied fully weather-proof for outdoor installation. Control rooms are supplied complete with air-conditioning.
