    Chloropac® Applications

Water and Wastewater Utilities - Municipal, Industrial

The demands on fresh water supplies are growing as population and infrastructure develops. To prevent infection and control organic bacteria Chloropac (and OSEC® / Pacpuri) systems are used worldwide for sterilizing and disinfection of both fresh water supplies and waste water prior to discharging it to the environment. The use of on site generated sodium hypochlorite has been proven effective over many years and has meant that thousands of users around the world now use the most safe, cost effective and reliable process for continuous fresh water and waste water management. These systems provide a viable, efficient and safer alternative to those associated with the dangers and adverse costs of purchasing and handling bulk chemicals.

Organic bacteria and biological fouling require constant monitoring. Clams, mussels, weeds, slimes and algae must be rigorously controlled. Untreated water will allow embryos to rapidly grow and bacteria to multiply. These organisms are invariably protected from their normal predators, making treatment a mandatory responsibility.
