Polymer Feed and Control

Since it’s 1972 introduction, Siemens' PolyBlend® Series has become a world leader in automated polymer feed systems.  Chemists will continue to refine existing polymers and develop new ones, just as they have for more than 35 years.  Operators should demand a polymer feeder that can keep up with breakthroughs in polymer technology for years to come.

PolyBlend® Mixer

Today’s PolyBlend® polymer feeders are a family of uniquely designed, patented systems which represent the product of continuing research and experience.  This research and experience has shown that each polymer requires its own special combination of mixing and aging in order to achieve full activation. Consequently, the equipment used to prepare a polymer solution must have broad rangeability and programmability so that it can provide that ideal mixing environment. PolyBlend® technology offers this rangeability and programmability to assure users, engineering consultants, and chemical suppliers that today’s polymers, and tomorrow’s will provide maximum performance and value.

The PolyBlend® polymer feed system offers precise control of dosing rate, dilution level, mixing time, and energy.  This exclusive control of energy type, intensity and distribution optimizes polymer performance and provides maximum enconomy and value in the use of polymers.

PolyBlend® Products

Application

PB Series

A compact footprint of only 1 to 1.5 square feet depending on frame size. It is lighter than most polymer feeders, making it ideal for portable use or where intermittent use requires the system to be stored in one location and used in another. Available in a wide range of capacities up to 75 US gpm (280 l/min).

M-LO Series

Engineered for easy installation and maintenance and ready-to-install, the system provides consistent and accurate dosage and improves polymer efficiency. Its compact size and trouble-free installation in M-LO is ideal for confined spaces and the open-frame design facilitates easy component access. Available in capacities from 0.4 to 2.5 US gph (1.5 to 9.5 lph).

M Series

Combines Siemens' proven motorized mixing technology with precise controls, a variety of pump offerings and an easy-to-service open-frame design. Then Siemens adds two unique options: variable speed mixing and automatic dosage control with constant solution strength. Available in a wide range of capacities up to 200 US gpm (760 l/min).

H Series

We no longer offer a hydraulic mixing polymer feed system, however either our PolyBlend® M or PB series polymer mixers can offer you the reliability you trust to handle the mixing capacities that were offered in the PolyBlend H series.

HMZ Series

Automated polymer feed systems for precise control and economical performance of liquid grade polymers.

DP Series

PolyBlend® DP systems have an unmatched reputation for reliability. The DP system typically reduces polymer consumption 25% or more while substantially improving polymer performance in terms of sludge dryness, solids capture, water clarity, drainage / retention, or any other measure. Available in a wide range of capacities up to 45 pounds/hour (20 kg/hour).

Accessories

A multitude of accessories are available for your PolyBlend® systems; including dry polymer extension hoppers and bulk bag frameworks, tables, drum mixers, air dryers, and more.

Series 35-300

The Series 35-300 Polymer Systems produce batches of completely activated, fully aged polymer solution from liquid or dry polymer. Available in a wide range of capacities up to 86,400 US gpd(327 m3/day).

Polymer Feed and Control Case Study

New Polymer Feed System Provides Efficient Polymer Activation for Less Capital Outlay, Smaller Footprint

The 1.5 million gallons per day (MGD) West Carrollton Wastewater Treatment came on-line in 1989 and today serves 12,000 area residents.  The activated sludge facility produces an average of 200 wet tons/month of sludge that, following belt filter press dewatering, is spread on area farmland by a biosolids management company.  Polymer added to the sludge prior to belt press dewatering to aid in liquid-solid separation.
