Industrial Wastewater Ion Exchange

Ion Exchange is a proven cost effective method of recycling selected wastewaters. Ion exchange treats diluted wastewater from almost any manufacturing process to produce high purity deionized water for reuse. The ion exchange system is designed to be used as a complete water recycling system.

The Water Recycling Ion Exchange System is designed to operate at peak efficiency by utilizing packed resin beds in conjunction with counter current regenerations. Packed resin beds optimize performance by increasing the operating capacity of the resin.  Since the resin kinetics are more efficient, smaller resin vessels can be utilized.  The ion exchange system is designed to be used as a complete water recycling system.

The ion exchange systems consist of several fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) pressure vessels that are filled with the appropriate amount and type of ion exchange resin. The systems are skid-mounted with the valve manifold being pre-piped.

A control system, based on a Siemens PLC, controls all the functions of the ion exchange system, including regeneration sequencing and return to operation.
