Ultrafiltration Membrane Systems

Our membranes and membrane systems reflect the advancements that have been made in the industry over the past three decades.

Membrane Ultrafiltration

Municipal:  Memcor® Submerged and Pressurized Systems

The ongoing development of membranes and processes is derived from the roots of the MEMCOR® product line.  A twenty-five year commitment to engineering and R&D coupled with an installation base of over a thousand systems have established Siemens as a global leader in wastewater reuse, drinking water treatment and RO pretreatment.

Siemens offers sustainable and cost effective solutions in both pressurized and submerged configurations.  Technologies are available as stand-alone, pre-packaged units or as components for large projects.

Memcor® Ultrafiltration advantages include:
- Flexibility: Available in pressurized or submerged configurations suitable for multiple plant requirements.

- Superior fiber strength: Employs a robust membrane fiber that ensures long term integrity.

- Ease of Installation:  Stand-alone pre-packaged units and components for larger projects have been designed to be assembled in the factory to the greatest extent possible to simplify installation.

- Reduced operational costs: Designed for minimal operational intervention and reduced chemical consumption, MEMCOR® products provide the greatest overall value in the market today.

Drinking Water TOC Reduction

Industrial:  Vantage™ UFI Ultrafiltration Systems

Vantage™ UFI ultrafiltration systems offer a robust system designed to remove suspended solids and organic impurities from a variety of different water streams.

Ultrafiltration (UF) is quickly becoming the process of choice over conventional technology.  Vantage™ LPU modules are manifolded together into racks and combined with pumps and controls to form a Vantage™ UFI system.

Drinking Water Treatment Case Study

Packaged Membrane Filtration System Provides Optimum Solution for Historic Resort

The Homestead, America’s oldest destination resort, is located approximately 170 miles west of Richmond, Va. The resort began providing guest accommodations in 1766, and today features 486 guestrooms, 88 suites, skiing, golfing, skating, a beautiful spa and many other amenities. Homestead Water Company, the private company established to serve the resort, also supplies water to about 420 additional area customers.  The private water system is fed from springs located on nearby Warm Springs Mountain. The water has a relatively consistent temperature of 55ºF, and low turbidity ranging from less than 1.0 NTU to 2.0 NTU. However, to meet the requirements of the Surface Water Treatment Rule (SWTR), the water company needed a filtration technology that would provide an absolute barrier against pathogens such as Cryptosporidium, Giardia, and bacteria.
