Neutralization and Precipitation Systems

Chemicals are fed into water or wastewater to soften water, control pH, or cause precipitation of solids or other materials from the water.

Industrial Precipitation System
We provide water and wastewater managers with a variety of chemical feed neutralization and precipitation systems, some skidded, designed for minimal operator attention.

Our Compact design neutralizes dilute or concentrated acid or alkali wastewater on a continuous, gravity flow basis and features proportional addition of neutralizing chemicals and is fully automated with a PLC-based control package. Systems can be configured with one, two, or three reaction chambers, based upon the influent waste parameters. The single chamber unit is a stand-alone, cylindrical reaction tank while the two and three chamber units are skid-mounted, multi-chambered tanks.

Typically, our systems can treat wastewater with the following influent conditions:
  • 4.0 < pH < 11.0 (single chamber)
  • 1.0 < pH < 13.0 (two chamber)
  • 0.5 < pH < 13.5 (three chamber)
  • Temperature: 40°F < T < 120°F (4°C < T < 50°C)
