Tow-Bro® Unitube Sludge Removal System - The Ultimate in Rapid, Uniform Removal of Final Clarifier Flocculent Sludges

This unique design, proven in hundreds of installations as well as in exhaustive testing programs, assures effective results, simple operation, less maintenance requirements and substantial construction and energy cost savings.

Tow-Bro® Unitube Sludge Removal System With FEDWA Baffles

To enhance the performance of the Tow-Bro® Sludge Removal System, Siemens offers a Flocculating Energy Dissipating Well Arrangement (FEDWA) baffle system.  The FEDWA baffle system is a simple, practical method of disspating inlet energy and enhancing flocculation in primary and secondary clarifiers.

    • Rapid sludge removal and efficiency - Over a full range of flows means a fresher sludge, less chance for septicity, reduced aeration requirements, and prevention of phosphate release.
    • Maximum solids concentration - Less required pumping means that aeration basins and solids handling systems can be designed and operated for the minimums.
    • Minimum sludge irritation - Achieved through a gentle removal action and a minimum of underwater disturbance.
    • Balanced hydraulic design - Removes settled solids in proportion to the area covered over a wide range of flows and permits low sludge blankets to be maintained for cleaner effluents.
