Decanter - Floating, Fixed, Supernatant or Effluent

Floating decanters from Siemens Water Technologies are a state-of-the-art supernatant withdrawal mechanism. Our floating effluent decanter is the only true solids excluding decanter in the industry that does not utilize electromechanical equipment in the wastewater treatment basin.

    Floating Decanter
The state-of-the-art design utilizes multiple orifices to keep velocities at a minimum, and pulls treated effluent from below the surface to eliminate the possibilities of entraining floatables.  Our decanters are constructed of high quality, durable, corrosive resistant materials with a manual override that is unique in the industry and requires no routine maintenance.

The decanter floats up and down with the changing water levels with the effluent spring loaded solids excluding valve keeping suspended solids from entering the decanter.  Effluent withdrawal is 18" - 24" beneath the water surface, preventing the entrainment of surface scum, floating debris, and foam.

    Features and Benefits:

    • No electro mechanical parts in the basin
    • Maintenance free
    • Excludes floatables
    • Constructed of high quality, corrosive resistant materials
    • Simple safe operation
    • Manual override
    • Consistent performance
    • Years of reliable operating experience
