High Rate Downflow Media Filter

This filter uses variations of different media in a downflow pressure filter configuration. The flux varies with different applications, and can range from 5 GPM/ft² for some mining applications to 20 GPM/ft² for offshore seawater filtration.

The high rate downflow filter is a high performance filter, compared to other conventional sand filters. The filter usually incorporates an air scour step to enhance the cleaning of the media and is capable of filtering aggressive industrial process fluids.

High rate downflow filters can be custom designed to meet the requirements of refineries and oil & gas companies.
