OPTIMA™ Series Anodes

Electrocatalytically selective OPTIMA™ anodes have proven themselves to be superior to conventional nickel, lead, lead alloy, steel, graphite and magnetite anodes. Unlike these disposable products, OPTIMA™ anodes use recoatable titanium and other high-value metal substrates, which provide excellant stability in agressive alkaline or acid baths.

OPTIMA™ Anodes

OPTIMA™ anodes reduce energy consumption and require low maintenance, generating long-term savings.

OPTIMA™ Series Anodes:

  • OPTIMA™ PTA Series - platinum plated, clad and thermally deposited
  • OPTIMA™ PIA Series - platinum irridium oxide
  • OPTIMA™ RUA Series - ruthenium oxide
  • OPTIMA™ IOA Series - irridium oxide

Features and Benefits

  • Substrate - OPTIMA™ anodes are a one-time investment.  They can be recoated for a fraction of the cost of replacing worn-out conventional anodes.
  • Labor - With OPTIMA™ anodes, the sludge commonly caused by conventional anodes, e.g., nickel, lead steel, and magnetite, is virtually nonexistent, saving you not only the cost of labor-intensive sludge removal, but the high cost of anode disposal as well.
  • Manufacturing - Because OPTIMA™ anodes are titanium based, they experience no lead or other heavy metal contaminant buildup.
  • Environmental Liability - OPTIMA™ anodes are free of the hazardous waste sludge produced by conventional anodes.
  • Energy - The activated anode coatings offer a high degree of energy efficiency.
