Resin replacement and removal services provided by Siemens' field technicians using Siemens specialty vehicles
Siemens' team of trained service technicians can provide complete project coordination for the removal and testing of your spent ion exchange resin and the reinstallation of new resin.  Our turnkey service includes pre-disposal Toxicity Characteristic Leachable Procedure (TCLP) testing, pre- and post-disposal documentation, removal of existing spent resin, visual inspection of the service vessel, installation of new resin and pre-arranged disposal with a licensed landfill.  We can also investigate the possibility of investment recovery through used resin brokers that Siemens maintains relationships with.

Ion Exchange Resin Replacement Case Study

Perchlorate Removed From Groundwater for West Coast Aerospace Manufacturer

A major manufacturer for the aerospace industry repairs liquid fueled rocket engines and solid rocket motors for the Department of Defense and NASA.  During the rebuilding process, older fuel is removed and disposed of using approved methods.  In the process, some of the same material was leaked and ran into local groundwater sources.  As a result, multiple wells on-site were contaminated.  The perchlorate levels found in the groundwater and wells were recorded in the parts per million range.
