Retrofit and Conversion Services

Our technologies can be used to upgrade, retrofit or refurbish our competitor's existing systems in order to increase capacity or improve performance without having to purchase new equipment.

We have successfully completed more than 200 retrofits and / or conversions in the past several years, allowing customers to realize substantial savings while increasing the efficiency of existing flotation equipment, skimmers or other separation equipment.

Depending on the degree of complexity, equipment can be retrofitted and returned to service within days rather than the substantial shut-down time normally needed to remove and install new equipment.

These retrofitted units consistently out-perform traditional eductor, mechanical and sparging-style systems. DGF technology allows the operator to instantly change bubble size in the flotation unit by simply adjusting the backpressure on an external globe valve.

This results in:

  • more efficient oil and grease removal rates
  • lower chemical costs
  • no confined space entry
  • minimized corrosion impact.

The efficiency of the pump reduces the amount of water treating chemicals needed while still achieving discharge contaminant concentrations of less than 20 ppm oil and grease. In fact, most systems consistently achieve discharge concentrations of less than 10 ppm oil and grease.
