The Aerated Anoxic process is a well established simultaneous nitrification denitrification technology. The process achieves nutrient and BOD treatment limits using less power and in a smaller footprint when compared to more conventional alternatives. It can be applied in both new plants and retrofits, and can easily resolve high peak and storm flow challenges. Siemens has over 700 installations of this technology.

Siemens’ Aerated Anoxic offering includes three products that fit specific plant needs and capacities: Orbal® System, Vertical Loop Reactor (VLR®) System, and Verticel® System. We also offer SmartBNR™ controls that optimize energy efficiency and plant operation.
