One Reliable Source

Siemens is coming to WEFTEC 2012, and we invite you to discover how we can enhance your productivity with our technologies, expertise and experience. Visit us at booth number 4027 and learn how.

At this year's exhibition Siemens will introduce:

The new BioMag™ System - the magnetite ballasted application that's changing the way people think about secondary wastewater treatment. Simple, reliable and proven, the BioMag™ System easily integrates with planned or existing facilities, increasing activated sludge system capacity up to 300% without new tankage, providing control over depth of secondary sludge blankets and enabling nutrient removal levels down to 3 mg/L TN and 0.2 mg/L TP - all at substantially lower costs than conventional systems.

Join us to witness the benefits of the system and step into our virtual clarifier to explore the science behind magnetite ballasted technology. Then take an in-depth tour of the BioMag System using our interactive touchscreen and discover how we can help you solve your most complicated wastewater challenges.

Biological Processes Featured Technologies

BioFlowSheet+Solutions

BioFlowsheet+ Solutions is a process optimization program that fully integrates the main unit operations of a wastewater treatment plant into a single solution. Our process experts work with a design team to analyze the efficiency of each process choice and its  interaction with the other components, while optimizing the overall efficiency of the entire system from start to finish.

Siemens Automation

Please visit the sample S7 1200 automation system on display. Siemens Automation Systems support the entire value chain of the water industry - from the remote pump station and collection system to the main treatment facilities with an unmatched combination of automation technology, industrial control technology and industrial software.

Answers for Lower Nitrogen and Phosphorous Limits

Learn about a variety of technologies and expertise we offer to achieve low nitrogen and phosphorus levels.

Biosolids & Odor Control Featured Technologies

Innovation Solutions for Sludge and Biosolids Processing

On display will be the Sludge Belt Dryer. Meet with our experts to discuss how this equipment can help you reduce cost within your municipal wastewater treatment plant.

Lower Cost Odor Control Answers

Learn more about our Vapor and Liquid Odor Control Businesses and our ability to offer odor control service while integrating remote monitoring to offer lower cost solutions. See our ZABOCS™ Biological Odor Control System on display.

Energy Efficient MBR Solutions

See the MemPulse™  Membrane Bioreactor (MBR) System on display and learn more about the energy efficiency of the system that uses a mechanical device to supply irregular pulses of air to the MBR module. This increases scouring effectiveness, decreases operation and maintenance costs, and reduces energy consumption.

Crown® Disintegration System for Minimal Waste

Meet with our experts to learn how the Crown system increases gas yield by as much as 30% and reduces sludge disposal by up to 20%.

Industrial MBR Wastewater Reuse System

The EcoRight™ MBR is a new wastewater treatment and water reuse system, integrating membrane bioreactor technology with additional purification processes to treat highly organic wastewaters. The system offers cost-effective reuse of difficult-to-treat wastewaters and could also significantly reduce capital and operating costs compared to existing biological treatment technologies, and in most cases, allow the treated effluent to be reused or fed directly to reverse osmosis (RO) equipment for reuse as boiler feed or cooling water, or meet stringent environmental discharge requirements. The EcoRight MBR is the result of a successful collaboration between Saudi Aramco and Siemens.

Upgrades & Energy Savings Featured Technologies

Forty-X™ Disc Filter

Talk with our experts to find out how the Forty-X Disc Filter is the ultimate barrier in tertiary filtration by capturing more solids in a smaller footprint .Learn how the technology enables wastewater to be reclaimed for both potable and non-potable uses.

Energy Performance Contracting

Meet with our experts to discuss ESCO (performance-based contracts) that allow for an alternative self-funding method for a wastewater plant capital improvement project. Improvements can be paid for from the guaranteed process improvement savings.

Small Flow Solutions

Municipalities and contractors can learn how to reduce their overall capital expenditure by selecting a Siemens steel, field-erected biological treatment system over form-built, concrete basin treatment plants. This option is an ideal choice to reduce engineering and construction costs and have a shorter concept-to-completion timeline.

Compressor and Aeration Answers

Siemens offers a full range of single-stage compressors and aeration control systems to meet unique challenges in wastewater, water, chemicals, metals, mining, and utility applications.  This experience makes Siemens the partner of choice for all single-stage compression requirements.

Variable Frequency Drives for the Water Industry

Featured is the Robicon W-Series range of Variable Frequency Drives (VFD), specifically developed to meet specifications in the municipal water industry. These VFDs are ideal for all applications that involve moving, pumping, conveying or compressing liquids, solids and gases in the most energy efficient manner. Clean Power models feature 18-pulse technology to provide low harmonics meeting the requirements of IEEE 519.

Water Treatment Featured Technologies

Chlorination and Decholorination Controllers

See the MFC analyzer/controller on display and learn how it provides a platform to analyze the measurements that are of key importance to any chlorinated drinking water application. The chlorine measurement ensures that water leaving the treatment facility is within the regulatory concentration requirements set forth for chlorine.

Memcor® CS Submerged Membrane System

Visit our booth to see the system on display and learn how the technology enables wastewater to be reclaimed for both potable and non-potable uses.

 Clearlogx™ Process Optimization System

The Clearlogx™ system helps municipal water treatment plants improve performance and minimize operational issues in difficult-to-control processes. The system maximizes total organic carbon (TOC) removal, even after implementation of enhanced coagulation, enabling plants to meet the stringent requirements of the Disinfection By-Product Rule.  It also minimizes fouling in membrane plants, improving production capacity and reducing cleaning requirements.

OSEC® B-Pak On-Site Electrolytic Hypochlorite Generation Skid System

With increasing concern over the transport, handling and storage of chlorine gas and purchased hypochlorite, our OSEC® system provides an economical and reliable solution. These systems produce sodium hypochlorite on-site and on-demand, at a cost that is significantly lower than purchased hypochlorite.  Now available in capacities from 65 to 260 lb/day.

Water Champ® FX Chemical Induction Systems

These chemical induction systems provide the most efficient mixing and injection of chemicals into wastewater saving on cost of chemicals, energy and ensuring treatment objectives are met. The innovative design provides superior mixing intensity needed to maximize checmical reactions while using less energy.
